This is the 5th year of this class- It’s been a great format to really dig in during the winter and get lots of work done with support and feedback (and not a ton of winter driving). This class size is limited and is taught by Kelly Carmody. There are 6 days in person which you are welcome to do on zoom and 6 eves online.

Cost is $1020 this includes the (2) 3 day intensive in person workshops and 6 weeks online. Class size is small and limited.

The format will be a 3 day intensive and then 6 weeks online and then another 3 day intensive. We will be working with the world around and transforming it into your artistic vision with a STRONG emphasis on values.

To hold your spot payment is due in full.(please inquire about payment plans)

The goal of the three days in the studio is to paint, get to know each other and prepare for your independent study.
it will include:
-painting exercises to warm you up and get you thinking of things with a different approach.
– we will work on a longer painting (if time allows)
– we will look at old master paintings
– We will also take time to brainstorm through ideas and make a plan for you to do your own series of paintings on your own

Already having a direction or idea of what you want to do on your own is welcomed though not required! There are no assignments each week, but if you need prompts or ideas to get you rolling that can be provided.

The weekly online class will be Wednesday at 6:30 and we will take as much time as needed to get through everyone’s work, we will take time to look at paintings of the masters that pertain to your work.
We will regroup at the end for three days, revisiting what has been accomplished over the last couple months and we will do more painting exercises to keep exploring our themes and moving forward. We will revisit your goals, look at your paintings, and paintings of the masters that would be helpful.

This class is open to all but it is geared to those who want to paint on their own and are either already doing so but would love some feedback and some structure or those who aren’t but would like some momentum and guidance to do so! The only prerequisite for the class is a willingness to tackle things on your own during the week. Even if you haven’t done it before. All questions and responses will be on zoom on Wednesdays.

Class fee will need to be paid in full to hold your spot. There is a cancellation period up until 6 weeks before (minus a 50$ paperwork fee). After that it will only be acceptable if your spot will be filled ( i will make an honest effort to do so). There are no partial payments or pro-rated classes.
